WeAreTheCity Rising Stars Awards 2019
We were extremely lucky and grateful to be nominated for a We Are The City Rising Stars award in 2019. The Rising Stars awards were founded by Vanessa Vallely OBE who is one of the most incredible and supportive people you could wish to meet!
On 3rd July we attended the awards ceremony at The Landmark Hotel in London. The evening was full of inspiration- it was brilliant to celebrate with the amazing role models in the room and especially meet Dulcie who we were sat next too and even made her own very beautiful dress for the awards. We also got to celebrate with Simone Roche MBE, Vimla Appadoo, who won in the Public Sector category and to meet her lovely mum too!
Winners ranged from charity to science and engineering, from public sector to entrepreneur and start up. The categories were amazingly diverse and celebrated the brilliant women who have made a difference in their industry and in the world.
We were named as Rising Stars Editors Choice- an award we were extremely shocked to receive, but overwhelmed and so happy to receive it. It made us feel even prouder to be a part of the WATC community of amazing women who are paving the way and making a hugely positive mark on the world.
