Prince's Trust Manchester Launch 2019
The 18th September 2019 was a very special day for us- it was the launch of The Prince's Trust new centre in Beehive Mill in Ancoats, Manchester.
Last year, The Prince’s Trust supported more than 2,000 young people in Greater Manchester and with the opening of the new centre, this means the number will be able to increase as a result - which is amazing!
Before the launch, Laura and I were incredible lucky to be on BBC North West tonight and BBC Radio Manchester speaking about the launch and how The Prince's Trust's invaluable support has helped us bring our dream of Careaux to life! We were interviewed by Stuart and Mark from BBC North West, who were such a joy to meet and it was brilliant to hear about Mark's experience with the Prince' Trust when he was younger, which he spoke very highly about!
We wanted to say a very special thank to the always incredible Lou Cordwell OBE, Sophie and her brilliant team for letting us use their beautiful Magnetic North office for filming - Lou is a true champion of start ups who we met over three years ago.
We then got to visit the new centre and learn even more about the different enterprises the trust has supported including Kimmy and Katie who had completed the Enterprise Programme. One of our favourite stories was of the achieve programme, which The Prince's Trust connected a group of elderly people with a group of school children so they could exchange cooking tips and technology tips so the adults could phone their families more- it was such a heart warming story to hear and just scraps the surface of what the Prince's Trust does.
Following this event, we completed our Prince's Trust training to become Young Ambassador, we are so honoured!
